Hey! I’m Teighan.

I am the owner and creative director of Teighan Lee Hair and Makeup based in South East Melbourne. Ever since I was a young lady I had a passion for hairdressing. I loved the creative aspect of it and the freedom to create art using hair. I started learning hair in high school at the age of 15. The further I got learning about hair, the more I fell in love with it.

2015
I had left school and started learning proper hairdressing: Chemical treatments (including colours etc), Cutting, Hairstyling & Blow Waving. All that persistence paid off and at the age of 17 I was fully qualified.

2016
I ventured off in a slightly different pathway and started to study makeup. I was never really your typical girly girl when it came to makeup, so this was something eye opening and different for me — but I loved it.

2017
2017 was a huge and life changing year for me. I spent the first 3 months of the year out of action after having orthognathic surgery. During my recovery time, the salon was created: a room in the back of the house. It was a dream come true, an entrepreneur was forthcoming and boy was I excited to be my own boss.

Mid 2017
I decided I would study a little bit more to learn the importance of business and how it worked, so I completed a small business management course whilst my client base was increasing and while still working at my casual workplace. I broadened my direction by entering into the world of weddings and when I did, I found this field was my passion.

2018
2018 was the first year I officially opened the salon to the public and started really pursuing my dreams. Word of mouth started to spread and I began growing like I never thought possible.

Today
I now work in and out of the salon providing hair and makeup services for all of my clients. I love seeing all of my regulars and I love meeting new people, I am an entrepreneur and I love what I do and who I am. I will grow and continue to listen.

Just remember, don’t just think of me as your hair and makeup artist: think of me as a friend for life. I am someone who’s going to be there for those special moments; your wedding, your child’s first haircut, debs/formals/graduations. I’ll be there for your first greys (don’t worry I’ve got you!), I will be there when you need to vent (free counselling woohoo!), but best of all I will absolutely provide you with a service you will enjoy and love (oh and don’t forget I’ve got the coffee/tea!).
